About us
The Creative Place is a bilingual sewing and craft studio in downtown San Leandro. We teach sewing, embroidery, crochet and arts and crafts to toddlers, kids, teens and adults, in English and in Spanish.
We started the studio as two East Bay moms who homeschool our own kids and wanted a place where families could make things together. Classes stay small, about 10 students at most, so everyone gets real help at the machine.
How classes work
- Every class includes the supplies you need: fabric, thread, patterns and tools.
- Many classes are taught in Spanish, and every class welcomes Spanish speakers.
- Series like Sewing 101 meet once a week for a few weeks. Workshops are a single session.
