Questions

How big are classes?

Most classes have 10 students or fewer. Each class page shows its limit.

Where is the studio, and where do I park?

We're upstairs at 444 Estudillo Ave, Suite E, in downtown San Leandro. Park in the lot behind the building; parking enforcement on nearby streets is strict.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Not yet, and we're sorry about that. The studio is on the second floor and reached by stairs only, so we can't accommodate wheelchairs or strollers at this time.

What should I wear?

Closed-toe shoes, for safety around machines, pins and scissors.

Do I need to bring anything?

No. Supplies are included. If a class needs something extra, the class page lists it under "What to bring."

I've never used a sewing machine. Where do I start?

Start with Machine Basics, a short class that teaches threading, winding a bobbin and sewing straight seams. Then join Sewing 101.

Are classes in Spanish?

Many are. Look for the "En español" or "Bilingual" label on each class.

Can kids come to adult classes?

Each class lists its ages. Kids under 12 need a parent or guardian in adult classes.

What if I miss a session of a series?

Ask us about a makeup session. We'll find a time to help you catch up when we can.

What is your cancellation policy?

See our terms. If we cancel a class, you get a full refund.
